A rare warm and sunny day at Lucindale saw three of our sides kick off their season. The senior colts started well and ran out the game strong winners. The senior sides both got runner ups but hopefully a win is just around the corner. The club wasn’t open last Saturday but that didn’t stop some after hours fun with a few Sherlock’s, Surgeons and Spiderman’s getting around at Sarah’s and Shuts 21st. Not too sure about the pair of Minions though... wrong party?
The senior colts played their first game against the combined Lucindale/ Padthaway team and had a convincing win to start their 2018 campaign. Best players were Ladies Committee Award Lachie Makin (4 goals) who kicks better on his left, Poole’s Menswear & Surf Award Tyson Leigh, Murch Plumbing & Roofing Award Reagan Tink (4 goals), Optimum Cut Award Billy Whittlesea, Wickham Flower Award Josh Will, Ray White Real Estate Award Thomas Belluzzo and Blackwell Plumbing Award Blake Plum.
We also wish Jed Hutchinson a speedy recovery.
The Ressies had a close game all day, but just couldn’t get over the line. Best players were Upper SE Liquid Waste/Creaser Haulage & Bobcat Award Jayden McCarthy, Shane Redden Kitchens/Norton Bulk Haulage Award Darcy Whittlesea, Bordertown Pharmacy Award/ Will Inspect Award Brent Lodewyk, Optimum Cut Hair Voucher Jared Lusher, C.H Wiese & Son Award Shaun Francis & Graeme Twigden.
The A grade boys had a tough day at the office, they had a good second quarter but they were unable to sustain this for four quarters and Lucindale looked at the top of their game. Jolpac/Wise Ford Award Brad Paech, Densley Earthmoving/ Wickham Flower Award Sam Sandercock, AWE Richards Meat Voucher Mattchew Leigh, Cut Loose Hair & Beauty Lounge Voucher Rory Tink , Bordertown Pharmacy Award Sam Devitt, Ladies Committee Meal Voucher Tom Underwood.
Good luck to all Footballers and Netballers today and I hope to see you all back in the club rooms tonight for the jumper presentations and some live music from Quentin Ashfield.
