2018 Season

KL United Budget Note 28/4/18

Tammy Creaser - Saturday, April 28, 2018

Last week we ventured down to the Paddy Lions Den and unfortunately we only came home with one win, but it was good to see the netballers come home with a few. Maybe if Pre- Z Turk could manage to integrate some red into his kit we could have sealed a few more wins!

Harv’s Heroes lost to Lucindale/Padthaway by 10 goal but they have a lot of upside to their team and I’m looking forward to them improving throughout the year. Ladies Committee First Best Award Max McLellan, Tatiara Industrial Repairs Award Daniel Will, Jolpac Rural Supplies Award Jakeb Jackson, Tatiara Driver Training Award Jack Whittlesea Neil & Pam Murch Award Mehdi Ghulami.

Roo’s Renegades travelled to Penola for a game and had a tough day. Lachie and Tyson have had a great start to the year, sharing the first two bests for the first three weeks. Ladies Committee First Award Lachie Makin, Poole’s Menswear & Surf Award Tyson Leigh, Murch Plumbing & Roofing Award Lachlan Murch, Optimum Cut Award Marc Shaw, Wickham Flower Award Will Francis, Ray White Award Kraig Fuentes, Blackwell Plumbing Award Izak Bertus.

Whit’s Boys had a great win and continue to improve, keep playing good footy and push for your spot in the A’s. Upper SE Liquid Waste/Creaser Haulage & Bobcat Award Jared Lusher, Shane Redden Kitchens/ Norton Bulk Haulage Award Jayden McCarthy , Bordertown Pharmacy/ Will inspect Award Shaun Francis, Optimum Cut Hair Voucher Josh Pepper C.H Wiese & Son Award Cam “Bad Boi” Makin and Ladies Meal Voucher Thomas “Mother Bird” Pepper who continued his good day late into the night, acquiring his last kick as he was escorted out.

The A grade boys had a good contest for most of the game but just didn’t manage to make the most of their opportunities. They are going to have to be at the top of their game today in the sunlight as KL look to be a big improver from last year. Jolpac Rural Supplies/Wise Ford Award Rory Tink, Densley Earthmoving/Wickham Flower Award Tom Underwood, AWE Richards Meat Voucher Cameron Sandercock, Cut Loose Hair & Beauty Lounge Voucher Jacob Eats, Bordertown Pharmacy Award Josh Searle, Ladies Committee Meal Voucher Sam Sandercock. Bad luck to both Sammy Barras and Matty Leigh who have both sustained season ending injuries, good luck with the rehab fellas.

Today we host the Cougars and hopefully we can get a few wins on the board before they head back over the border. Don’t forget about the Goods and Services Auction after the Mundulla game, so get thinking and let the Social Committee know what you have.
