Last week saw a great start to the day against the close town rival, with our junior sides playing some great footy to both run out comprehensive winners. They are both having a crack and are only one win out of the five, so make sure we keep getting out there early in the morning to watch the future of our club have a kick and a catch. The day went downhill pretty quick in the reserves with the moots kicking 8 goals in the first, to our 2. This was not the start they wanted and proved to be the difference. The A grade had a similar start, conceding a 9 goal first quarter. Hopefully the senior sides can rock up to play in the first quarter this week.

Thank you to the Football/Netball social committee who organised a great Goods and Services auction last week. It was a good night that saw us raise over $15,000. Thank you to businesses, families and supporters who donated either their services or some valuable goods. Don’t forget to organise your tables for the Chinese/Quiz night which will be after the Borders Game.
I also must congratulate Jarradd “Shredder” Searle on playing his 100th game for the club last week, a huge effort from the big fella who plays as well off the field as on it and I’m sure we can get another 150 games from him.
This week we head down to our seaside abode of Kingston, hopefully we can go ready to play some good footy. We have four winnable games so let’s take our chances and have a good day. Good luck roosters!
