Tammy Creaser - Friday, July 21, 2017

We welcome Jolpac Rural Supplies today's game day sponsor and thank them for their continued support for the Bordertown Football Club.

Last week we played the Kyby tigers and came away with just the one win. I would like to give a special mention to our junior colts who came up against a team that has mercy ruled every side they have come up against this year and our lads were able to keep the game going for the whole four quarters. This shows the determination and improvement these lads are showing it is exciting for the future of our club. Harry Houdini's lads had the game of the day, they all worked so hard for four quarters but inaccurate kicking towards goal proved to be the difference going down by 2 points. Well where do I begin on our Saturday night antics! I would like to thank the Social Committee, our special guest judges Belinda Pepper Ladies Committee President, Jeffrey Poole of Pooles Men's Wear and Surf Bordertown and Tracey Lamshed of Blue Belle Boutique in Hahndorf and of course our sexy ladies for putting on a fantastic Miss Rooster parade.  A lot of laughs were had and that is good for the soul! Special mention to Zara McLellan on winning the judges choice and Misty Leigh for taking out the people's choice. Actually I think the ladies may have enjoyed it maybe a little too much!

The fun doesn't stop in Rooster Land with the next couple of weeks sure to be a hoot or a cock-a-doodle-doo with the Annual Games Night on tonight Junior/Senior and next weekend we  have Music Through The Decades! Come on down to the club for tea on Thursday nights (all welcome)  for more details on these or visit our facebook page. Just to finish off please start organising your tables for our Chinese Banquet/Quiz Night see Sarah Diment  or a Social Committee member to book a table for another great night at the club cooked by our club sponsors Tim and Helen Wei of the Bordertown Chinese Restaurant.

This week we welcome Penola to the chook pen to see 4 entertaining games. I'm sure the boys will want to make amends for their performance earlier in the year so let's all get to our home ground and support the boys!!
