2017 Season

Border Districts Budget Note 17/6/17

Tammy Creaser - Saturday, June 17, 2017

Well I hope everyone has had a great long weekend and are all well rested up and are ready to go and get a few wins this weekend. Congratulations goes to Brodie Foulds, Lincoln Weatherald, Reagan Tink and Stuart Greenslade who represented the football club by playing interleague on the weekend. From all reports they all played well and represented the club well. Another congratulations and big thanks goes out to our Social Committee who had a successful cabaret after the Padthaway game. If you didn't go you definitely missed out on one of our great nights that we have at our club. So be sure to make the next one because I'm sure it will be a great night for all!

Hayden Heroes just fell short against a determined Padthaway/Lucindale side, to the boys credit they work hard all day and hopefully a loss like that makes them even more hungry to go out and have a good game today. Best Players were Ladies Footy voucher Innocent Nkurunziza, Tatiara Industrial Repairs award Stuart Greenslade, Jolpac Rural Supplies Jazper Readon, Tatiara Driver Training award Jed Hutchinson, Bordertown Fruit Market award Dylan Carnemolla, Limestone Coast Freight Award Thomas Belluzzo, Neil & Pam Murch coaches award Izak Bertus.

Harry Houdini's had a strong win against Kyby. Although I hope they have been practicing there goal kicking this week as they didn't kick that straight. Hopefully they can fix that this week and come away with a good win. Best players were Ladies Footy Voucher Lachlan Murch, Pooles Menswear & Surf award Reagan Tink, Murch Plumbing & Roofing award Lachlan Makin, Optimum Cut award Lincoln Weatherald, Wickham Flower award Henry Kroemer, Ray White Real Estate award Ryan Boyd.

Mal's Magicians were outclassed by a hungry Padthaway side. Hopefully the lads can regroup and get back to some good footy this week. Best players were Upper SE Liquid Waste & Creaser Haulage& Bobcat & Ladies Footy award Josh Tink, Shane Redden Kitchens/Norton Bulk Haulage award Graeme Twigden, Bordertown Pharmacy & Will Inspect Nick Dahlitz, Cut Loose hair & Body Lounge Voucher Nick Hampel, Sport N Moore Award Bram Whittlesea and the coaches encouragement award went to Bradley Lodewyk.

Trenners Terriers came out like a house on fire kicking the first 6 goals of the game, then I think the boys might have thought it was all going to happen and dropped off that 5 percent and Padthaway flexed their muscles and didn't let us back in the game. I'm sure if they play like they did in that first quarter for four quarters we can beat a lot of teams in this league. Best Players for the Roosters were Jolpac Rural Supplies /Wise Ford award Sam Devitt, Densley Earthmoving /Wickham Flower award Jake Verco, AWE Richards Meat Voucher Ty Devitt, Optimum Cut Hair Voucher Jacob Eats, Bordertown Pharmacy award Angus Diment coaches encouragement award Ladies Meal Voucher to Joshua Searle.

This Saturday we take on Border Districts back at our pen, be sure to stick around after for another delicious meal by our ladies committee and some light music.

GO THE ROOSTERS!
