Well how good was last weekend! Firstly winning all four games of footy against the old rivals Mundulla. The reunion for 75, 76 and 86, 87 premierships was held and from all reports all enjoyed the event. After hours was the iPod shuffle night and a little story coming from the night was that there has been a new rule put in place. You must have at least one foot firmly on the ground at all times as there has been a few incidents where a lifting dance move has not worked out too well. Mainly involving the netballers, leave the lifting to the fellas girls!
Hayden's Heroes got the rooster off to the perfect start keeping the little tigers to 1 goal for the game and getting their second win on the board to put them back in the finals race. Keep working hard lads and these results will continue to come. Best players were Ryan Boyd (Tolmer Takeaway award), Bryson Hinge (Tatiara Industrial Repairs award), Izak Bertus (Jolpac Rural Supplies award), Charlie Ferguson (Optimum Cut Award), Ethan Smedley (Bordertown Fruit Market award), Gus Day (Limestone Coast Freight Award).
After a week off Trenners Terriers came out and continued on the merry way getting up by 75 points. They just keep getting better and better every week so make sure you get up early and watch the future of the club on display. Also a special mention goes to young Dusty Inglis who went down to play in the under 16's comp for Glenelg last weekend and got first best, great stuff. Best players were Josh Francis (Neil/Pam Murch / Blackwell Plumbing Award), Lachlan Makin (Pooles Menswear and Surf Award), Matty Leigh (Murch Plumbing and Roofing Award), Riley Densley (Tatiara Driver Training Award), Bradley Lodewyk (Wickham Flower Award), Lachlan Murch (Ray White Real Estate Award).
Mal's Magicians knew they had a big challenge and they responded brilliantly keeping the tigers to just 1 goal for the game. seeing improvement of the young ones coming through with the experience of the older players is working well at the moment which is good to see. Best players were Sam Devitt (Upper SE Liquid Waste and Creaser Haulage and Bobcat Award), Shaun Creaser (Shane Redden Kitchens/ Norton Bulk Haulage Award and Ladies Committee Meal Voucher), Tom Bailey (Bordertown Pharmacy / Will Inspect Award), Brent Lodewyk (Optimum Cut Hair Voucher), Ty Devitt (Woolshed Inn Voucher) Evan Joshua (Sport 'N' Moore Award).
Coxy's men came out like a house on fire kicking 8 goals to 1 in the first quarter and they never looked back. Having control for most of the game by winning the contested footy which ended up being the difference on the day. 2 in a row has got them back on track and we are starting to see the full potential of this side. Best players were Rory Tink (Jolpac Rural Supplies/ Wise Ford Award), Carson Clark (Densley Earthmoving / Wickham Flower Award), Ben McConnell (AWE Richards Meat Voucher), Heath Caldwell (Woolshed Inn Voucher), Clint Diment (Cut Loose Hair and Beauty Lounge Voucher), Clint Barras (Bordertown Pharmacy Award).
Well we have already had 4 milestones this year it would be silly not to have another. Congratulations to Rory Tink who will put the jumper on for the 100th time today. Rory would have to be the most casual and laid back guy you will ever meet but as soon as he steps over that white line it's a different story. The club would like to wish him a great game and hopefully the boys can get a win for you.
This week we take a trip down to the sea side to take on the saints. Good luck to everyone and I hope you have a enjoyable day.
