Last week we took a trip out the road to face our old friends Mundulla and came home with 3 wins and unfortunately went down in the main game. Saturday night we had the Goods and Service Auction which ran very smoothly. Well done to Rob Will and Norty and their band of helpers for the organisation of the auction and if you weren't there you definitely missed out on a good night and some great items! Unfortunately I didn't hear stories from Saturday night but I did hear that there was a Sunday get together down at the pill box for the senior lads. A good day and some team bonding at its best was had!
Onto the games from last weekend H's Heroes started the day off well with a hard fought win. With a bit of mud on the oval the lads dug deep and got their hands on the footy first which proved to be the difference. Great stuff lads! Best players were Seb Trenorden (Tolmer Takeaway award), James Gurney-Wellington (Tatiara Industrial Repairs award), Angus Day (Jolpac Rural Supplies award), Dylan Carnemolla (Optimum Cut Award), Tom Belluzzo (Bordertown Fruit Market award), Ryan Boyd (Limestone Coast Freight Award).
Trenners Terriers came out of the blocks early and put the scoreboard pressure on and didn't look back. The lads still have plenty to work on so keep getting out on the track and working hard and the results will keep coming. Best players were Matt Leigh (Neil/Pam Murch / Blackwell Plumbing Award), Henry Kroemer (Pooles Menswear and Surf Award), Dusty Inglis (Murch Plumbing and Roofing Award), Riley Densley (Tatiara Driver Training Award), Brodie Foulds (Wickham Flower Award), Hayden Shuttleworth (Ray White Real Estate Award).
Mal's Magicians must have watched a bit of the senior colts because they followed suit with scoreboard pressure early and didn't look back. Best players were David Wurst (Upper SE Liquid Waste and Creaser Haulage and Bobcat Award), Justin Taylor (Shane Redden Kitchens/ Norton Bulk Haulage Award and Ladies Committee Meal Voucher), Owen Butler (Bordertown Pharmacy / Will Inspect Award), Shaun Creaser (Optimum Cut Hair Voucher), Dan Feder (Woolshed Inn Voucher) Graeme Twigden (Sport 'N' Moore Award).
Coxy's Chargers came out a little slow and the tigers got the early jump. The boys worked hard for the rest of the game but just couldn't bring that margin back. Three big games seeing out the home and away season could see the boys back in the finals but they're really going to have to earn it! Best players were Beau Shinnick (Jolpac Rural Supplies/ Wise Ford Award), Josh Searle (Densley Earthmoving / Wickham Flower Award), Gene Robinson (AWE Richards Meat Voucher), Nathan Clark (Woolshed Inn Voucher), Zac McLellan (Cut Loose Hair and Beauty Lounge Voucher), Bradley Paech (Bordertown Pharmacy Award).
This week we come back to the home deck to take on Kingston. I wish everyone a great day with hopefully a few wins coming the red and white way. Just a Reminder we have a games night tonight so if you are not up to much come down for a look as I'm sure it will be another great night.
