2016 Season

27/8/16 Qualifying Final

Tammy Creaser - Saturday, August 27, 2016

Well the finals are here! with the roosters represented in the reserves and the senior colts we should see a lot of red and white out and about which should be good to see. Also congratulations to the netball teams that have made the finals, great stuff. Unfortunately our junior colts and A grade have just missed out with the junior colts only missing out by percentage and with the A grade having to win last weekend couldn't come up with the win.

H's Hero's finished off the season in spectacular fashion knocking off the Padthaway Lucindale side who are in the finals. Just goes to show how much the guys have improved over the year which has been a delight to watch. For those going up all the best and those there next year work as hard as you can to go reach that next step. Best players were Angus Day (Tolmer Takeaway award), Ryan Boyd (Tatiara Industrial Repairs award), Jazper Readon (Jolpac Rural Supplies award), Ethan Smedley (Optimum Cut Award), James Gurney-Wellington (Bordertown Fruit Market award), Jed Hutchinson (Limestone Coast Freight Award)

Trenners Terriers have gone through the season undefeated again. They took a trip down to Penola last week to play and by all reports they played well. With the weak off, get out on the track boys and work hard and get ready for a big semi final! Best players were Beau Shinnick (Neil/Pam Murch / Blackwell Plumbing Award), Josh Francis (Pooles Menswear and Surf Award), Cooper Ferguson (Murch Plumbing and Roofing Award), Cam Makin (Tatiara Driver Training Award) Matt Leigh (Wickham Flower Award), Riley Densley (Ray White Real Estate Award)

Mal's Magicians knew it was going to be a tough game against the Roos and tough it was! The boys were a little bit cleaner and the want at the contest was going our way and they came out on top quite convincingly. Best players were Clinton Williams (Upper SE Liquid Waste and Creaser Haulage and Bobcat Award), Nick Hampel  (Shane Redden Kitchens/ Norton Bulk Haulage Award and Ladies Committee Meal Voucher), Clint Barras (Bordertown Pharmacy / Will Inspect Award), Shaun Creaser (Optimum Cut Hair Voucher), Owen Butler (Woolshed Inn Voucher) Kye Thompson (Sport 'N' Moore Award).

Coxy's Chargers just couldn't get their noses in front going down by 2 goals. The lads will definitely be hurting and I feel they will be a lot more determined next year, with a big pre season from all of them and see if they can fight their way back into the top five. Best players were Nathan Clark (Jolpac Rural Supplies/ Wise Ford Award), Josh Searle (Densley Earthmoving / Wickham Flower Award) Gene Robinson (AWE Richards Meat Voucher), Harry Fromm (Woolshed Inn Voucher), Bradley Paech (Cut Loose Hair and Beauty Lounge Voucher), Curtis McCarthy (Bordertown Pharmacy Award)

Good luck to all teams that have made the finals. Especially the rooster sides!! Go hard and play with pride.
