Last week we took a trip down to Lucindale to play the roo's. We came Home with two wins out of three as the junior colts had a bye. The senior colts and the reserves came away with strong wins and the a grade was in it for 2 and a half quarters but got blown out of the water in about 10 minutes which ended up being the difference on the day. No real after hours stories this week but I heard that the money seems to be running a little dry out at Wolsey as one of the young senior colts had to use his red footy shorts last week at a away game. But there was a simple solution wasn't there Cam. He decided to turn them inside out so he didn't look like the odd one out. Good thinking mate. No one could tell the difference!!
Onto the games and with the junior colts having a bye Trenners Terriers got the day rolling with a comfortable victory. Keep working hard lads and don't get complacent and these results will keep coming. Also congratulations to Dusty Inglis who was a part of the premiership under 16's Glenelg team, Great effort mate. Best players were Beau Shinnick (Neil/Pam Murch / Blackwell Plumbing Award), Sam Pepper (Pooles Menswear and Surf Award), Henry Kroemer (Murch Plumbing and Roofing Award), Bradley Lodewyk (Tatiara Driver Training Award), Nick Dahlitz (Wickham Flower Award), Lachlan Murch (Ray White Real Estate Award).
Mal's Magicians Had a slow start this week with the roo's getting a couple of early goals. Then our defence got on top once again and out midfielders took control and the forwards were looking dangerous, only letting Lucindale score one more goal for the game they were in complete control which was great to watch. Best players were Matt Ward (Upper SE Liquid Waste and Creaser Haulage and Bobcat Award), Josh Tink (Shane Redden Kitchens/ Norton Bulk Haulage Award and Ladies Committee Meal Voucher), Jake Verco (Bordertown Pharmacy / Will Inspect Award), Shaun Creaser (Optimum Cut Hair Voucher), Clint Williams (Woolshed Inn Voucher) Ty Devitt (Sport 'N' Moore Award).
Coxy's Chargers Looked like they were right in the game until a ten minute lapse in concentration let the experienced Lucindale side get on top and kick eight quick goals. The boys pegged back a couple late but the damage was done. With another big challenge coming up they will have to put in a solid four quarter effort this week. So hopefully the boys are fired up and ready to have a crack going into a couple of byes. Best players were Bradley Paech (Jolpac Rural Supplies/ Wise Ford Award), Carson Clark (Densley Earthmoving / Wickham Flower Award), Kane Cuthbertson (AWE Richards Meat Voucher), Brent Shuttleworth (Woolshed Inn Voucher), Ben McConnell (Cut Loose Hair and Beauty Lounge Voucher), Cam Dahlitz (Bordertown Pharmacy Award)
This week where back at the chook pen to take on the Keith crows with a couple of entertaining games to be played out, so make sure all you supporters get down there to cheer on the boys and hopefully we can come away with a few wins on the home deck.
