2016 Season

25/6/16 Padthaway Budget Note

Tammy Creaser - Saturday, June 25, 2016

We're back, after two weeks off our last gamee seems to be ages ago.  Just to refresh everyone's memories we played Keith and what a day it was with four wins from four, probably not expected by most footy experts.

The day started with Hayden's heros U14s with another come from behind win.  Best players were Angus Day (Tolmer Takeaway), Bryson Hinge (Tatiara Industrial REpairs), Ryan Boyd (Jolpac Rural Supplies), Ethan Smedley (Optimum Cut), Jazper Reardon (Bordertown Fruit Market) and Billy Whittlesea (Limestone Coast Freight).

Trenner's Terriers U17's are like a good paint they just keep on keeping on with a solid team effort.  Best players were Lincoln Weatherald (Neil & Pam Murch/Blackwell), Dustin Inglis (Pooles Menswear & Surf), Beau Shinnick (Murch Plumbing & Roofing), Josh Francis (Tatiara Driver Training), Cam Makin (Wickham Flower), Henry "I can play forward" Kroemer (Ray White Real Estate).

Mal's Magicians probably had one of their biggest wins ever over the old foe in a long time.  (Always nice to get one back on the Crows.) Best players Shaun Creaser (Upper South East Liquid Waste and Creaser Haulage & Bobcat), Owen Butler (Shane Redden Kitchens/Norton Bulk Haulage & Ladies Committee Meal), Ethan O'Sullivan (Bordertown Pharmacy/Will Inspect), Jonty Searle (Cut Loose Hair & Body Lounge), Ty Devitt (Woolshed Inn), and Zac McLellan (C.H. Wiese).

Coxy's Chargers proved what hard work and team effort and also discipline can do with the best win for the year.  Best players Nathan Clark (Jolpac Rural Supplies/Wise Ford), Sam Devitt (Densley Earthmoving/Wickham Flower), Ben McConnell (AWE Richards Meat Voucher), Brent Shuttleworth (Woolshed Inn), Gene "kick it to me" Robinson (Optimum Cut Hair Voucher) and Heath Caldwell (Bordertown Pharmacy).

Last weekend our club was once again well presented at Naracoorte playing for the KNTFL Interleague teams, all being very successful.  Players were U14s Ethan Smedley, U15s Lachie Makin, Lachie Murch, Tyson Leigh.  In the U17's we had Brodie Foulds, Beau Shinnick, Mathew Leigh and in the Seniors we had Heath Caldwell, Clint Diment, Nathan Clark, Brent Shuttleworth and the old reliable Kane Cuthberson.  I believe that all players acquitted themselves very well.

Finally this week we head down to the Lion's den who we know have been ultra competitive and travelling very well, so we must put our best foot forward and bring our A game to get the desired results.  With the Rump & Red/Comedy Night on this Saturday night it's sure to be a hoot especially if we win!

Go Roosters!
