2015 Season

23/5/15 - Kingston Budget Note

Tammy Creaser - Sunday, May 31, 2015

Last week saw us head over the range to Padthaway and come home with 2 from 3 wins, with the A grade boys being handed a lesson on top quality country footy. Now to last weeks night time performers, while smacking the ball around the golf course at the footy club ambrose day last Sunday, the people who were in Gussy Diments group came back with partly chewed ears as Gus was pretty happy with his night time form!!!!!

Tren's little fellas has the week off so it was the senior colts starting the day off with a nice win. Johnnie's merry men were up and going early having a very good first quarter. They couldn't keep up the high scoring from then on by still managed a good win. Best players were Jacob Eats (Niel and Pam Murch Award), Beau Shinnick (Pooles Menswear), Brodie Foulds (Murch Plumbing and Roofing), Sam Pepper (Tatiara Driver training), Ben Jarrett (Wickham Flower), Nick Dahlitz (Ray White).

The magoos were asleep for the first half, but during the third quarter they seemed to be gaining confidence but couldn't put the score on the board. Down by 14 pts at the last change, the team rallied and played some good footy and managed to frash em in a friller by free goals. Best players were Brent Lodewyk (USE Liquid waste & Creaser Bobcat and haulage), Michael Long (Redden kitchens, Norton Bulk & Ladies meal voucher), Josh Tink (Bordertown Pharmacy & Wild Mulberry), Jake Verco (The Optimum cut), Matt Tink (Woolshed Inn), Razor Rae (Sport N Moore).

Haysey's boys early on were able to match it with the highly fancied Padthaway outfit. But after half time the lions piled on the sausage rolls with the ball spending most of the time between their goals and the centre square. With 8 or 9 teams all capable of beating each-other it's important for us to keep adding wins during the season to ensure were up the top end of the ladder come finals time.  Best were Tom Wheelan (Jolpac & Wise Ford), Rory Tink (Densley Earthmoving & Wickham Flower), Gene Robinson (AWE Richards), Mitch Dahlitz (Woolshed Inn), Nick Hewett (Cut Loose hair and Body lounge), Maddy Hayes (Bordertown Pharmacy).

Today we host the Kingo saints. Many of whom become our neighbours during the summer time. Let's hit back with four from four and celebrate with a big night in the club. Today's gameday sponsor is GJ Gardner Homes.
