Last weeks games against the Roos from down south saw 2 wins in the seniors and a draw in the junior colts. Last weeks major game day sponsor was Sport N Moore. The A grade boys played particularly well but couldn't shake the Roos all day. With a few of their big guns out early it was just good to get the 4 points and move on. Last week we had the games night in the shed and it was enjoyed by all. Robo Cops Shredder and Ej were best dressed with Gus and Nafe showing the most skill to come out victors.
Tren's little fellas had the late start and were out of the blocks early getting out to 4 goals up. But unfortunately they conceded some late goals and ended up finishing with a draw. Best players were Lachie Murch (Tolmer Takeaway), Lachie Makin (Tatiara Industrial Repairs), Tyson Leigh (Jolpac), Joain Tumlos (Optimum Cut), Seb Trenorden (Bordertown Fruit Market), Dougal Day (Limestone Coast Freight).
Johnnies bunch of bikies had the week off and will be set ready to go for a few big games coming up.
The magoos were out of the blocks early and were able to put the game out of reach by the half way point. Like the colts the magoos have some big games coming and will need to be performing well to get the job done. Best were Josh Tink (USE Liquid waste & Creaser Bobcat and haulage), Owen Butler (Redden kitchens, Norton Bulk & Ladies meal voucher), Bradley Paech (Bordertown Pharmacy & Wild Mulberry Garden centre), Graham Twigden (Cut loose hair &. Body lounge), T Bone (Woolshed Inn), Riley Mewett (Sport N Moore).
Hayseys men played another top 5 side in Lucindale, they could get to 5 goals up but couldn't break away, as the Roos would get back to with in three goals. With teams playing top of the table Keith after us, wins against other top 5 teams can quickly result in a gap forming between us and the rest. Best were Clint Diment (Jolpac & Wise Ford), Gene Robinson (Densley Earthmoving & Wickham Flower), Kane Cuthbertson (AWE Richards), Hayden Paech (Woolshed Inn), Rory Tink (Optimum Cut), Cam Dahlitz (Bordertown Pharmacy).
Today we are heading down the Frances road to take on the Kyby Tigers. Tonight we have the comedy night at the footy clubrooms. There will be no teas at the club, the night starts at 8pm, cost of entry is $30 and includes supper, you must be 15 years or older to enter.
Also today marks old man HOMP Nick Hampel's 250th game. With over 200 games of A grade experience the Hampster is now plying his trade as an assistant coach in the magoos and is playing well again.
