Welcome all to the run home for the rooster clan, we have had an interrupted past 8 weeks but we're sitting here today with a group of 4 games prior to the finals with all sides still in contention in playing finals football. The past few weeks has seen plenty going on but I'd say the choccy's go to our esteemed A grade stats man Spike Coutts for rolling the local cement truck.
Two weeks ago we played Penola and were some defeats.
Tren's little fellas were very wasteful and probably should have won if they had of kicked straight. Best players were Lachie Makin (Tolmer Takeaway), Jamie Francis (Tatiara Industrial Repairs), Tyson Leigh (Jolpac), Lachlan Murch (Optimum Cut), Seb Trenorden (Bordertown Fruit Market), Charlie Ferguson (Limestone Coast Freight).
Ol' Johnnie's boys went from strength to strength and were the only side to get the win. Best players were Pecker Densley (Niel and Pam Murch Award), Harry Fromm (Pooles Menswear), Josh Pepper (Murch Plumbing and Roofing), Matty Leigh (Tatiara Driver Training), Nick Dahlitz (Wickham Flower), Tate Carson (Ray White).
The magoos were up against the top side and were slow starters. The boys were shown up by a very impressive side and will need to improve to push them later on in if they meet again in the finals. Best were Braden Hill (USE Liquid waste & Creaser Bobcat and haulage), Owen Butler (Redden Kitchens, Norton Bulk & Ladies meal voucher), T Bone (Bordertown Pharmacy& Wild Mulberry Garden Centre), Jared Creaser (Cut loose Hair &. Body lounge), Brendan Kupke (Woolshed Inn), Michael Norton (Sport N Moore).
Hayseys men were going ok during the early part of the game but were shown up as the game progressed. They have some big games coming and are fighting for a top three spot and will need to get some wins to secure that spot.
Best were Nafe Clark (Jolpac & Wise Ford), Kane Cufbertson (Densley Earthmoving & Wickham Flower), Clint Diment (AWE Richards), Gene Robinson (Woolshed Inn), Angus Diment (Optimum Cut), Brent Shuttleworf (Bordertown Pharmacy).
Today we are heading across to take on the Keith crows. It's shaping as a tough assignment in most grades so let's play our best footy and come away with 4 good wins.
